Daily Bread 12-12-18
Hebrews 9:22-24
22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
23 It was therefore necessary that the pattern of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavens things themselves with better sacrifices then these.
24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
ref. - Lv 17:11 - For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
Heb 8:5 - Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou maketh all things according to the pattern showed to thee in the mount.
Heb 6:20 - Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisadec.
Heb 7:25 - Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that a come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
There had to be a change and that change was in Jesus Christ. We now live in a day when the ultimate blood sacrifice has already been made for us. We now live in a day where Jesus Christ has made the eternal sacrifice for us. So there are many things that we have been given that replaced or superseded the laws of Moses. It is written and it is true. We can sacrifice until we have no animals or blood left and we can depend on a priest to make the sacrifices for us and it will go unrewarded. there will be no remission of sin any longer for sacrifice of carnal things. The reward is given now in the obedience to and not the sacrifice of Spiritual things. We must submit to Jesus Christ in a Spiritual way and be transformed into creatures of God rather than trying to follow a pattern that was not made for us. Our example is full and true in Jesus Christ and if the word of God tells us that there will be no more blood sacrifices made since the day Christ hung and bled on the cross then it is for us. These things had to change once to be made for us but they will never change again. So, let us praise God for this blessing of Jesus Christ so that we, a wild olive branch, could be grafted into a pure olive tree. We have been called and a few have been chosen!! Will that someone be you?? He can save us to the uttermost, not partially or temporarily, to the uttermost. He lives, he is a never changing savior, and he is here eternally for us!!
