Daily Bread 11-12-18
Hebrews 3:12-14
12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any one of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
ATTENTION!!! This is of utmost importance in our daily lives if we are to remain Spiritual and endure to the end. We MUST, not may or might, MUST open our Bibles and discuss the word of God. Many look at us as those who hide from reality or those who spend too much time in Church. But these who accuse are the exact ones that we must make sure that we do not become. It is easy to be deceived into slacking off or thinking that we don't need "quite so much Church", but the truth is that daily we need to be refreshed and daily we need to open our Bibles and find out what God has for us. Daily we need to hear the word of God. In hearing the word of God and being reminded of his will it will assure that we will not be deceived into walking away or straying from him. 9am prayer meeting? Some say it is not the right time, some say "why do we need this, God is all around us", but we need this because we are weak and in our weakness he is made strong. We need this because we need to be encouraged and also maybe to be pushed a bit into seeking for more and also to be fixing what's wrong. The first thing we experience when we are being deceived is that we don't have that desire to go to Church, but rather try to look for excuses not to go. Next, we look at ourselves and say, "well, I guess I don't need Church so bad. I have my health, I have my family, I have my wealth,..." All excuses planted by the enemy to take us away from God. You see, the only way that we will someday see the bright side of eternity is to serve him until the end. Not to walk away or slack off as this is not what the word of God teaches. We are to remain pressing on forward, ever improving, and ever preparing for that day when we have to stand before the judge. v.14 - For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end. Have you the fire that you once had? Have you the desire to please God that you had at the beginning? Have you the perseverance to not let anything get between you and God? This is what we must do to retain that fire, that diligence, and that perseverance!! We MUST pray without ceasing! We MUST open our Bibles daily!! WE must hear exhortation daily!! We MUST endure to the end!!! Let's follow Jesus and hear his voice daily!! Hope to see you there!!! Have a great day!!!
