Daily Bread 11-1-18

Luke 18:27

And he said, The things that are impossible with men are possible with God.

ref. - Jer 32:17 - Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:

Isn't it great when something so great, so unexplainable, so extraordinary happens that we can look up and say, "Thank you Lord, I know that was you God"? Well this is just what we need today to increase our faith. So we sit and we wait, and we look around for that one, unexplainable moment. All the while, many moments are passing us by that prove to us that what man cannot control or change, God can. Today a man that the world called an alcoholic that would never be whole wakes up and doesn't need or care for the very thing that he was addicted to. Today a couple has gotten pregnant with a child that the doctors say they could never have! Today, a harlot who the world saw as no good has gotten up and clothed herself modestly and has no more desire to be passed around. Today a filthy mouth that could not speak without cursing rises up and is no longer filled with the thoughts of those words........they speak in a different tongue, even though the world says it couldn't be done. Today a man crawled out of a wrecked truck that could not even be recognized as a truck and remained whole and in health. Today the clouds brought rain to a dry land when the forecasters said there would be no rain. Today, a grieving widow has the strength to go on and live the rest of her life when the world expects her to just sit in a chair and cry until her time comes. Today, a couple that people said would never make it sits in a Church pew and prays to God and he makes their marriage whole again. Today a young lady that has been ravaged by the evil disease of cancer takes her last breath and though there is chaos and the room is filled with grief, she seems to be peaceful and the pain goes away and the disease is healed as she draws her last breath. Today, even through all that the old man had gone through and all the world had thrown at him, he worships and praises God until the very end and goes into the next life in peace. He endures to the end. Today, a young, once proud man sits humbly and accepts correction where there was no tolerance for correction of any kind. Today is the day that the Lord hath made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it!! Today let us not only look for the "big" things that God does that are not possible with man, but also let us look at the changes and the things that he does each day that we could never have seen or taken part in if it weren't for him!! Let us praise God in Jesus name for all that he has done and all that he will do! For it is him, and him alone, that can do the unthinkable, can stop the unstoppable, and can lead us peacefully to the very end where we will receive our great and everlasting reward!!!
