Daily Bread 5-18-18

Luke 4:18,19

18 - The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

19 - To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

ref. - Isa 61:1,2 - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tiding unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

2 Cor 6:2 - For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

To those who have never heard or do not know, Gos has given us messengers to deliver the gospel! Starting with the prophets, confirmed by Jesus Christ himself, and passed on through the generations by Apostles and Prophets as God sees fit. The anointing, or giving of the gift, is for the purpose of healing and deliverance. It is to bring us closer to this great salvation and this great Savior that we have been given! What really stands out today and will help us all if we take heed is the fact that this gospel has been given to recover sight as many have become blind. It has been promised that God's chosen people, the Jews, would even some day receive their sight back through this gospel. But the here and now is that this gospel is for us and we, too, can recover the gift that had once been given to us. You see, many have seen, but many have fallen away and become blinded. the cares of this world, the money, the temptations,.......whatever it is, we have gotten wrapped up in something else and no longer feel the same connection or understanding that we once felt. Well, this messenger is here to tell you, Brother and Sister, that in Jesus name and at his feet, through repentance, we can recover what we once had! Today is the day that we search no longer but find what has been there all along in Jesus Christ! Today is the day that we allow him to take the blinders off and let us see and hear what he has for our souls! Right now, so many are being held captive in their own minds and blind in their own Spiritual eyes because they will not repent. But I say, Repent! Repent! for the kingdom of heaven is at hand! The anointing is here and the Holy Ghost is here so repent and be made free from the bounds of sin!! In Jesus name, all the sin and blindness, and bondage and ignorance be gone, and let us see, hear, and be set free!! Now is the time!! Don't wait until Sunday, don't make excuse! The time is now that Jesus can set us free and we, too can walk in righteousness along with him! Now is the time!! Gert on your knees and pray, pray, pray!!!!
