1 Timothy 6:6
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
ref. - Lk 12:31,32 - But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Godliness with contentment. Today we can ask ourselves; Are we content with living in obedience to God's word? Let us put it this way. Do we see it as a constant struggle to stay within the lines of this gospel? If we are not content with anything that is given us in this gospel, any little bit, we need to pray and be transformed. That is, if we do not want to struggle around every corner. The kingdom of God is not in money, or companionship, or success, or notariety, but it is inside ourselves. And we call it our souls. Every thing that God has for us on this earth, even some of the things that are in the previous sentence, are available if we first get our souls in order. Not struggling with or fighting against. Not looking for way to ride both sides of the fence. No, submitting ourselves to him. This being our hearts, minds, and souls. Once we have submitted and let go of that which is not profitable in God's eyes it will become clearly evident that the narrow path is not a difficult place to travel down. But we cannot come to God for any other reason than to be transformed into the people that he wants us to be. All of our carnal needs, desires, and lusts, need to be put aside and we need to seek the things of God. God is not hanging a carrot in front of us to pull it away at the last moment. No, it is his good pleasure to give us the Spiritual change that is needed to live a life that is pleasing to him. So let us seek first the kingdom and be transformed, then we can actually be of help to others and eventually, make heaven our homes. Have a great day!!!
