Daily Bread 4-26-18

2 Corinthians 13:14

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen

As always, once Paul had greeted and addressed the issues that the people were having, he would pray blessing upon them. No matter how much trouble they were in or how they had to be communicated with, he always opened letting them know how much he cared for them and closed in the same manner. His speech in most books that were written was hard and filled with rebuke, but also filled with confidence, hope, and faith. Today, we must know that this is how we must not only communicate with people but also use it to determine who is truly for us and is filled with the same Spirit that Paul was given. This being the Holy Spirit of God. And, today, amidst all of the correction and also the blessing, go forward knowing that no matter how hard the word of God comes and whips us or no matter how much it blesses us, the purpose of it all is to help us to become a sight and a savour that is pleasing to God. We must let the word of God mold and shape us into the transformed souls that we were meant to be and receive all that God has offered us in Jesus Christ. For in him there is redemption, correction, love, humility, compassion, patience, and the true Spirit of God. And the wishes of those that have been put in authority over us in the Church, and the Church as a whole, are that we be filled with God's grace in Jesus Christ, his love, and that the Holy Ghost will come and take up residence in our souls.
