Daily Bread 4-9-18

Luke 10:5-7

5 And in whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

6 And of the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

7 And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

ref. - Mt 10:12 - And when ye come into an house, salute it.

Mt 10:11 - And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

Mt 10:10 - Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

In today's scripture we can see how we are to approach others as Christ instructed his disciples. It also, later says how to react when they don't accept you or will not accept the gospel that you bring. But, today, let us learn how to approach rather than retreat. The word today says to first say peace to this house. Always let others know that you are a believer and bring the ways and thoughts of a believer into any conversation or situation. Others involved will either follow or refuse what you have brought. If they follow and also let you know that they are believers as well, then they are someone that can be negotiated with or will also take on the ways of a Christian in negotiation, learning, or other things. If you can find others with like beliefs as you , then it is good to work with them and to become acquainted with them. If they are not of the same faith, it will be easy to see, and then we are to shake it off and go find others that are of like faith. This is just as important when in different denominations as one will try to prove to the other why their belief is better and no improvement will take place. You see, our job is not to try to take down the other tribes, but to join strongly to the one that we have been given and to come together in peace with one another. Not arguing or bickering, debating, and fighting, but in peace. If we have found those of like minds, we will not have to over accommodate ourselves as there will be several others that will add to providing for our necessities as we provide for theirs. It fully explains the body of Christ. The hand does not do what the arm does but without the arm it is virtually useless. Together they compliment one another as the hand may not provide the strength but it may provide the skills and the comfort that the arm needs to be fruitful. So, today, what we must take from the lesson is this; We do not have to have every gift that God has to offer. What we need is to be in his will and allowing him to use us to our fullest potential. Others will see great value in what we bring as it will compliment or aid in supplying for their Spiritual needs. In turn they will be grateful and use what they have been given to help us. If we are caught in a situation where we constantly give but our needs are not being supplied for then we can see that this is not of God and move on. Just like the scripture says in the book of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verse 6; Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you. When we take what God has given us to the multitudes, look for people who will accept it and believe just as we have believed. If it is of God, all will benefit from it and this is where we are to abide. I am personally thankful that this is what I have found in The Church Of God Of The Firstborn. Not all who say they are of this tribe are of this tribe, but if I stay faithful and in this place, using what God has given me to help others, I will never beg for bread nor will I ever have to look any further when in need of Spiritual help. I say this because I have experienced it. Find a place where you feel this same way and cling to it. A pearl of great price has been found. Do your part and watch as all other things will fall into place. Have a great day!!
