The Sermon on the mount(cont'd)

Matthew 7:21

Not every one that saith unto me Lord,Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

ref. - Hos 8:2 - Israel shall cry unto me, My God, we know thee.

Js 1:22 - But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

There will, and are, many who have proclaimed the great and mighty name of the Lord but have not allowed him to transform them. In our lives, as Christians, God's will is that we not only come to the knowledge of who he is, but that we also become obedient to the gospel that we have been given. This being the gospel that was brought to us in Jesus Christ. Many who will not cling to this wonderful gospel are still proclaiming the name but the only results that are being given are man-made, psychological results. Unfortunately these are temporary and fade away. But if we pray to become obedient to what we read from our savior and what we hear from Holy Ghost filled men of God that is in agreement with the gospel, we will then not only know him but he will also know us. So today we keep it simple and short; They who do what they are taught will be acknowledged at the time of judgment, they who have knowledge but not obedience will not be recognized. Our job is to find eternal life, and, once again, eternal life is no about Jesus Christ, it is in Jesus Christ. Have a great day!!!
