The Sermon on the mount(cont'd)

Matthew 6:26

Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

ref. - Ps 147:9 - He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

We get so worried about where our next meal will come from and how we are going to "make things happen" that it takes our focus off of God. Christ is telling us to have a little faith and you will see. If he took care of us and we were able to make it to the point in where we found salvation, then why don't we think he will treat us even better once we have been redeemed? He is still taking care of those things which have no care for him and we still worry about whether he will take care of us. He even takes care of the animals that can do no service to him. He allows even evil people to remain on this earth, and we still worry if he is there for us. Lord help the little faith that we have. In a spiritual sense there are many who have been seeking after gifts and that have needs but we have slowed down or stopped pursuing these things as they did not come in our time. Let us ask ourselves this; If he had mercy on each of us when we were wretched sinners, not deserving anything nor earning one single thing that was profitable to him, then why would he not answer us now that we are serving him? The answer is easy, He will. He will answer our prayers and give us the necessary gifts and blessings that we need to find eternity. But not on our time, and this is where we need to pray for patience. We need not only to be patient with others but moreso even with God. He knows what he is doing and he will never leave us or forsake us. He will never leave his children begging for bread. He is there for us in the Spiritual so that we can survive the carnal. Let us put it this way; would you rather be given a fish to eat for a day or taught to fish so that you can eat for a lifetime and feed others as well? He is not going to allow us to go without if we are serving him. Just read what Christ has brought us and believe. Our answers are right in front of us in Jesus Christ and they will come on time, if we only believe. Have a great day!!!
