Daily Bread 12-16-17

Romans 4:16

Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

ref. - Ro 3:24 - Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Col 3:11 - Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Ro 9:8 - That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, things not seen. Faith is the gift of believing in not something that is put in front of us but something that has been promised. Grace is mercy. Believe today children that through your faith in God you may receive the great promises that have been given to us in Jesus Christ. No longer are we required to stand under the watchful eye of the law and it's requirements. In Jesus Christ and faith in what he has promised us we have been set free from the law. Permission to sin? Absolutely not. But the opportunity to be forgiven from such offenses in Jesus Christ makes us eligible for the promise of eternal life. The promise that we can remain free from sin if we become Spiritual rather than carnal is something that the whole world, even many denominations and Churches, think is impossible. Why? Because they lack faith. The first thing that we must do as Christians is become transformed into Spiritual creatures or we will never find the promise either. This is by faith that we receive these Spiritual gifts and by God's grace that they are given. So, you see, children of God, it was by the examples of faith that Abraham possessed that we can see God's mercy and grace as well. If god can raise up a man such as Abraham to be faithful in this capacity, the word of God says that he can raise us up also. We must believe in the Gospel that we have been given just as Abraham believed in all that God communicated to him. Even though our own carnal selves try to creep in and tell us that we cannot do it or that it is not for us. Even if our carnal selves tell us that it is too hard and try to steer us in an "easier" direction, we must keep believing in Jesus Christ and watch as God's mercy eventually, in his timing, pours out on us! Just as so many before us have found this faith and grace, receiving such a great salvation and completing it by enduring to the end, let us press onward also in to Christ. We were created as men, but not to remain worldly and fleshly. We were created to be readied for a great journey in which our bodies and the things of this world will not be there. Today, through our faith in God we must give to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God. WE must commit ourselves Spiritually and soulfully to God and watch as he guides us to live carnally making this world a better place through our example of Christ in us!! Give it back to God!!! Have a great day!!
