Daily Bread 11-24-17

Philippians 1:16-19

16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel.

18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached, and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

ref. - 2Co 1:11 - Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

Ro 8:9 - But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

There are many types of ministers and there are many types of people out in this world. If we are going to follow Christ and pass into that of Spiritual creatures then we must also follow them that rely and dwell on the same. Paul says that he is thankful for all of these kinds of preachers and ministers because the more that they preach, the more it proves that he is who he says he is. He is a man filled with the Holy Spirit of Christ. All in all, the truth comes out eventually and we learn what the intentions are of those who do not rely on this Spirit. But further than the fact that we, as ministers, can be proven by the actions and words of others, is that we, as followers of Christ also know which direction that our salvations need to go. If we are just interested in the things of this world, we will go to they who preach the things of this world. But this is all we will receive, for if we seek the things of the world and the recognition of each other then we already have our reward. But if we seek after the gifts of the Spirit, the things of the kingdom of God which coincidentally is not song and dance and physical activity, but an undeniable, unexplainable presence, we will reap the fruits of the Spirit. If you are a minister or a newly saved soul, just know this; We reap what we sow. What foods we take in will determine who we become. Just as there were different Churches and different ministers today. Some trying to pose as one of the Churches of God but undeniably representing another purpose or belief. Today we have men who live in "nests", not believing in what their respective Churches represent, but content in that they have a place to sleep and a place to eat. This is just a way of supplying for their carnal families. All the while representing the Pentecostals, or the Lutherans, or any other sect of the Christian religion. What Paul was explaining was that those ministers will have visual results but not Spiritual results. When Paul came around to the Churches he would display and represent the true Churches of God and the performance of the Spirit through salvation and understanding, healing and power. These men who represent other beliefs, as the word says, do not represent the Spirit of Christ, and are none of his. They can get the Church riled up and they can preach things that soothsay(tell the people what they want to hear) and they can even find a few souls to misguide from the truth. But the truth is, they are incapable of producing things of the Spirit. this made the Apostle Paul gain in strength and be proven as that as many other misrepresentations occurred the only one that bore results was what was being taught and supported by Jesus Christ and continued in the Apostle Paul. So, today we must know that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ and the only way to Jesus Christ is through soul. It is a transformation not visible to the eyes of the world, but a testimony deep within our souls, that we are the children of God. We must become and follow the things of the Spirit. Then our own purpose and salvation will become clear and evident through the gifts of the Spirit and the change within ourselves. So, don't worry about the other guides, follow the Churches of God as written in Hebrews 12:22-23. If we follow this we will reap what was sown in our souls long before we ever were born! Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you!! Have a great day!!!
