Proverbs 24:1-10
1 Be not thou envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.
2 For their heart studieth destruction, and their lips talk of mischief.
3 Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:
4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
5 A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.
6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counselors there is safety.
7 Wisdom is too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate.
8 He that deviseth to do evil shall be called a mischievous person.
9 The thought of foolishness is sin: and the scorner is an abomination to men.
10 If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
ref.- Ps 119:113 - I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.
A few proverbs to think of today. If we can read them and understand them they will help us with our search for direction from our Lord. As the scripture is very simple and easily understandable we will not explain too much today. Just read them and realize that fools despise wisdom and the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord. If we fear the Lord then we know that he will be displeased with us if we do not become obedient to his guidance and direction.
So these Proverbs tell us these things;
Don't seek after what evil men have and don't hang out with them.
Evil men are up to no good and they have nothing good to say.
The wisdom that we can receive from above will build our spiritual house correctly. But whatever we seek out as wisdom, that is what our house will be built of.
A man with God's wisdom and knowledge is both strong and will increase in strength.
Fools despise wisdom because they cannot understand it. A fool remains unarmed spiritually because he will not accept the correction of the Lord.
Those who try to wear the cross and still choose to do evil will be marked and avoided by those of us that choose to do good and follow the lead of Jesus Christ.
Scorn, hate, envy, is an abomination to all of us, especially to those of us who are of the household of faith.
If we run when the going gets tough or return to our old ways for solutions when we are having hard time or being attacked, we have no strength as we should have as our faith is weak and our spirit is also weak.
Al of these things are great things to pray about and for us to work on. There is no ill instruction here and if we can become doers and not just hearers we will see an increase!! Have a great day!!!
