Daily Bread 11-17-17

Psalms 68:1-3

1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

4 Sing unto god, sing praises to his name: exit him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

5 A father of the fatherless and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

7 Oh God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

ref. - Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou wounds the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah

Seems like a harsh plea from a Godly man but, is it? If we look into this scripture as dealing with one soul, or one man, and break it down, it makes a lot of sense pertaining to our spiritual lives today. Think of it in our souls and understand it as this; Let God have dominion over our souls and drive out the evil spirits. Let the spirits that hate God flee from our souls. The same way that we fan smoke away from us, let us get rid of those wrong spirits. Just as a good fire melt wax and it runs away, let us melt those spirits with he good fire of the Holy Spirit and watch them perish. But the good Spirits, the righteous ones that be of God, let us rejoice as these are the Spirits which fuel the fire! Great things has the Spirit of God done in our hearts and lives! Let our souls rejoice as they are burning with a clean fire that is free from chaff and purged from impurity! Let our souls sing a happy song of praise toward our God for the great things he has done in us! He has given us our direction, our purpose, he has kept us from those who are out to destroy our good Spirit and put us among his people. He has given us a family of like minded people with the same Spirit in our souls! He has released us from prisons in our minds that limited the way we could think and understand and therefore releasing the power to conquer the evil of this earth and overcome all that held us back from being his children. We are no longer slaves and prisoners but set free in Jesus Christ! We did not seek him out. He came out in the darkness of the world and sought us in Jesus Christ! He brought us not from the light of perfection and holiness but from the darkness of impurity and sin! Let us praise him with all that is within us, let us bless his holy name! He has helped the holy and the sinful, he has helped the chosen and the outcast, he has given us this great opportunity where there was none. So let us drive from our souls that wicked one and all of the remnants that are left and rejoice in the Spirit of the almighty God! In Jesus name let all things be established! God is good!!! Let him hear your voice and have a great day!!!!
