Daily Bread 10-31-17
Matthew 20:8
So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard said unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
ref. - Acts 17:31 - Because he hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Are you within the realm of your calling today? The word of God is simple and clear in all things and today it tells us that when the time comes, the one who has been given the power will come for us one by one. Not according to our works or our time of service, but according to his purpose and if we are walking within our calling when he comes. The reward will not be different nor will each man go to a different place. There will be no higher stature amongst brethren but all will be equal. Our proof that this can and will occur is the fact that Christ was hung on a cross, made to die, buried in a tomb, and on the third day he arose and walked from that tomb. He, through the Holy power of God was risen fro the dead. He has been given the power and authority to judge the world in the time that God reveals and we must be labouring in what he has called us to do when he comes. So, today, whether we are filled with the Holy Ghost and have many gifts, been serving God for a hundred years, or if we were saved yesterday and salvation is our only claim, the reward for each if in God's will is eternal life! It is up to God what we are called to and it is up to Him when he sends his Son to harvest. So, don't be looking upon one another and wondering why he received this or she received that. It is not good to covet. Look upon our own salvations with fear and trembling that when he comes we might be found sleeping and not keeping watch over what he has given us. If that soul that was saved last week was given the Holy Ghost and the gift of teaching, healing, exhortation, and all other gifts it is not to boast and it is not because they are greater than anyone else, it is what they were created for. Again, we must not look upon them with jealousy or disbelief, we must not covet what is not ours. What God has given each of us is exactly what we were made for. If we want more we must provide and increase with what we already have. But the day is coming, Brothers and Sisters, when he will look upon us. There will be two in the field and one will be taken and the other left behind...... The jobs are different, the levels of responsibility vary, the length or time of service is never identically the same, but the reward for all who are walking within the grace and will of God at the time of his coming will receive the same gift, eternal life!! Have a great day!!!
