Daily Bread 10-11-17

Luke 13:11-13

11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

There is nothing too hard for our God! For eighteen years this woman had been battling with this sickness. No man could help her, no medicine could heal her. But in one word, one touch of his hand, the power of God came down and healed her in an instant! Who is this man that even the powers of disease bow down to him? This man is Jesus! The Son of God, came down to man, to show us the way, and to leave with us a better testament, a way that is achievable to all who will believe and obey! But what a way to start! This woman was ill for eighteen years! Many of us give up after a few weeks or months, but eighteen years! This should give proof that no matter what is going on in our lives and no matter how long it has gone on, Jesus Christ is the answer. He is the power of God on earth and in his name there is still all of this power available! We must call on him today and cast our cares on Him. He does care for us no matter what the storm in our lives. Take those things that are impossible for us to solve and give them to him. The problems and disease, the bad spirits and evil thoughts, and give them to him. When he heals us we must believe that he has healed us and do as this woman did, glorify God!! This was not some magic show or false healing, this woman knew that she had been healed because there was a change in her. She knew she had been freed from the bondage of this illness. If you are in need of a touch from the masters' hand, call out to him. His power and his healing are still available today in the name of Jesus Christ. So, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!!!! Have a great day!!!
