John 4:39-42

39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that I ever did.

40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

41 And many more believed because of his own word;

42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that his is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

ref. - Gen 49:10 - The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be.

Isa 42:1 - Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

1Jn 4:14 - And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

Isa 49:6 - And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

Jn 1:29 - The next day John seeth Jesus coning unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Eph 2:13 - But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

What a blessed and fortunate people we have become. As we know the word of God is truth, and there is no deceit in it. Today, we read that it was not only that Christ had done a great thing in the life of the Samaritan woman and had left her with a powerful testimony, but he also was there to confirm to others that what she testified was true. What used to be the only thing that the people had was now offered unto them as well. He could have given her the help and then moved on but he knew that there was a curiosity and a need that other people had. He knew that she was in town telling people of him and that they were curious to what he was dong and who he was. So he stayed on with them for two days and helped them to "find a little faith" as well. So in this woman's testimony a curiosity was created but it still took Jesus Christ himself to convince the others of who he was and to follow God. Today we have many testimonies and tools to bring people to Christ, but to truly convince them they need to experience it for themselves in their soul. they need to be touched by something that they cannot get in the world. Something unexplainable by man. this touch needs to come for the Holy Spirit of God through Jesus Christ. How, you ask? Well, since you ask, Jesus is not going to come down in physical form any longer and communicate with us but he has a Spirit that he has put in men to do this work. In order to hear these men, there has to be a testimony or a curiosity. This is where many of us come in. Our testimonies are not necessarily meant to seek and to save but to arouse a curiosity in people to come and hear the word of God. Although not all are called to expound and understand the word of God we all have a testimony that we can share. Had this woman never told the people what Christ had done, they may have never asked him to stay with them and explain himself. So, today, realize that even in that time, working together our own talents and gifts will bring people to the feet of Christ and then the evidence will be undeniable. Just remember, we can have all the gimmicks, attractions, entertainment, and carnal attractions possible but without our testimonies and the Holy Spirit to back up what we are promoting, there will never be a transformation, only entertainment and deceit. We need Jesus Christ in all circumstances in order to make a change in people. And we need that Holy Spirit as this is what we have been given. So, continue to seek first the kingdom of God, share your testimony of the great and merciful things that God has done(especially the unexplainable ones) and everything else will fall into place. Good is good, Christ is our Saviour, and the Holy Ghost is here to support and comfort us. What more do we need? Rejoice people, again I say rejoice!!! Have a great day.
