Psalms 113

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.

2 Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and fear ever more.

3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the Lord's name is to be praised.

4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

5 Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelt on high,

6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and he lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

8 That he may set him with princes, even the princes of his people.

9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the Lord.

ref. - Dan 2:20 - Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:

Mal 1:11 - For from the rising of the sun even unto the going down of the same my name shall be great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense shall be offered unto my name, and a pure offering: for my name shall be great among the heathen, saith the Lord of hosts.

Isa 57:15 - For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I will dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

1S 2:8 - He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and he lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.

Isa 26:19 - Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Job 36:7 - He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings they are on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

1S 2:5 - They that were full have hired themselves out for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children hath waxed feeble.

Prasie ye the Lord! Oh, praise ye the Lord! Look at the barren land that he has brought us from, and praise Him!! He has allowed our sins to be taken from us and for us to be cleansed!! A people who had never given fruit are now a part of a fruitful tree, so praise Him!! He is worthy of all praise from sunrise to sunset! When there was no one who could help us, who was there? So praise Him! When there was nothing that could change our situations, who came to our aid? So worship Him!! He has taken us from a place of desolation to a place of prosperity, so give Him the honor He deserves!! Just as he has lifted unworthy pilgrims from the dust in times past He has given us the opportunity to be lifted up as well! Sing praises to His name!! He is the almighty! The all powerful! The all knowing! The King of Kings and Lord of Lords! He is Jehovah! He gave his son to us not only to suffer on that cross but also to lead us into the promised land!! So let us drop our differences and put away our prides and prejudices and give reverence and honor to the only one who has the power and the mercy to change the human soul and take us to that Spiritual place that we have been given to dwell! He has given us, even us, a chance to live in righteousness and receive the almighty reward of eternal life!! Look back, just for a moment, and see where he has brought you from!!
