Hebrews 6:10-12

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

ref. - Mt 10:42 - And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

Jn 13:20 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Col 2:2 - That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all the riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father and of Christ;

Heb 10:36 - For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Whatever you can do, whether it be Spiritually or carnally, to help a follower of Christ, will be remembered and rewarded when you see him. But it is not rewarded unless you continue in it. We cannot look back at the things of the past and expect them to carry us through, we must progress and continue to do good unto others. Today we want our payment before the work is done and this is our problem. We haven't got the patience to wait for the reward. We do something good for God and then we lay down and say "I will do something else when I receive the blessing for this or that." This is not the way to think. A very wealthy man once told me something pertaining to money. He said, "You are so busy trying to figure out how much you have made off of one sale and spending that money that you have let many other sales pass you by. Stop worrying about how much you make and concentrate on continuing to earn more." Now, this may not be taken well with those who condemn money(who, in particular, seem to always be the ones who have none), but it was good advice in diligence. In our spiritual lives we are too busy counting our rewards and waiting for the blessing that we let many opportunities pass us by. What we need to do is to believe and have faith that not one of the good things that we have done will go unrewarded, but that we mustn't miss any other opportunities to earn more blessing. If we re going to be greedy and selfish, let us be this way in well doing. Never satisfied with what we have done to help others to draw closer to Christ, never tired of helping out the saints(our brothers and sisters in Christ, especially the leadership of the Church), but striving on. Knowing that there is a purpose for us out there every day and there is also someone that is serving God in need. Many times all it takes is a quick hello and to assure someone that you are praying for them(make sure you actually pray for them), other times it takes other things. But we must let the spirit lead us in these things and we will never come up short. You say, "I haven't got the gift or the means to go and help someone." God promises that he will give you the gifts and means as needed when you need them so reach out in faith and be blessed. You see, it is not what we can do alone that is extraordinary, it is what we think that we cannot do, but go ahead, in faith, and do them anyway. It is when we are out of our financial or physical or spiritual comfort zone that we know God will supply. But let not your heart grow weary in well doing Brothers and Sisters, for this is the will of God. Get behind the leadership of your Church, who, according to scripture, is a direct product of Christ, who is a direct product of God. Read the reference about those in whom I have sent and let it sink in. Help out those Brothers and Sisters the way the word of God says to help them. Support and backing, faith and believing, this is what will store up many rewards in heaven for all of us. And God will not forget one single act of kindness in the name of Jesus, he is just waiting to give them to us face to face! Endure to the end with a diligence to do your part and serve God with all your heart, and all your mind, and all your soul. All these things shall be added unto you!!! Have a great day!!!!
