Daily Bread 6-16-17

Luke 8:19-21

19 Then came his mother and his brethren, and could not come at him for the press.

20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.

21 And he answered and said unto them, My mother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and do it.

ref. - Matt 12:46 - While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.

Mk 3:31 - There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, went unto him, calling him.

Can you see how much love that Jesus Christ has for us?? He loved us so much that he was willing even to give attention to the needy and put their needs before those of his own family. He gave us a gospel that was meant for his own people and has been with us since that day to lead and guide us along the way. We are a fortunate and blessed people to be able to have someone who will, still to this day, call all those who are within the gospel and those who hear the word of God and do it, his brethren. He is not a man who will lie or let us down. As long as we are there seeking help and following him he will choose us over anyone who is outside the gate. Not that he won't help those on the outside, but they must come to him and ask. For those who are already following him, his protection, love and guidance are already there for us. Each day he is attend unto our needs and our requests. He will help all of us as he has given us the Spirit of adoption to where we can cry out to the Father and he will hear us! He loves you!! He loves me!! And it doesn't matter where we come from or who we are, he loves those who follow him and accept what he has to offer. In faith we will come to him and in faith we will be kept by him! That, my friends, is the great savior that we have! Love him today and worship his holy name!! And have a great day!!!
