Daily Bread 6-8-17

Titus 2:3-5

3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;

4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,

5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

ref. - 1P 3:3,4 - Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting of hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a weak and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God a great price.

1P 3:1,5 - Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that if any obey not the word, they also without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

This is all about example. If the young women are led by Spirit filled elder women, then they will also follow on a Spiritual path. Today, we have elder women looking for the "friends they never had" in their daughters, and, in turn, they are trying to relive a day that has long passed. If we follow the word of God, as it is written, we will realize that our older generation of women are responsible for teaching the younger women. Now, don't think that we do not have these examples among us. There are many elder women who are just what the scripture guides them to be, and to them will come the heavenly blessing. But there are others who are following the younger women and ending up in the ditch as well. Not helping the younger ones to become what the word of God tells them to become, but following the younger ones, seeking days gone by. This is the exact reason that Lot's wife ended up a pillar of salt and was left behind. Today, it is vehemently urged that the elder women not be left behind but become the godly(not worldly, but godly) examples that they are supposed to be. The plan is already laid out for them if they would just follow it. Also, to the young women; look for a role model that is godly. This may not be your carnal mother but it will definitely be someone in the Church. Do not follow after the gossips, or the whores, or even the ones on the front pews if they are not in line with what the scripture tells us a woman should be. You know exactly who they are by their fruit. They rule the roost, while their husbands act like little kittens under their wife's armpit. (If they would take on their role as a woman it would force their little husbands to become men, but rather they do their job and his, and in turn blaspheme against the order that God has ordained). These are not good examples to follow. Just because they work in the Church doesn't mean that they work for the Church. They are gossips, they are backbiters, second guessing their husbands and blaspheming against the word of God by the way they live their lives. To these women, mark them and stay away. Look for someone who has a clean heart and can lead you closer to God and further from the world. A true Spirit filled woman, not an actor trying to convince the world of her holiness, but a true Spirit filled woman who is content with what God made her and the role she has in her family and the Church. Is she one who will take correction as well as give it? Is she quiet and keeps to herself and her own business? Is she dressed as a Christian or is she truly saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost? Does she love and take care of her own children? Is she subject(obedient) to her own husband? Does she keep her house within godly guidelines as set forth by the scriptures? These are all things that is necessary in order for a woman to be able to lead other women to God and this is what the younger women should be following and looking for in a role model. But first and foremost, we must all make sure that our lives and our beliefs do not contradict what the Holy Scripture teaches through the Holy Spirit. Take a look, each and every one, at your own lives and your own beliefs and determine which path you are on. Are you the woman that God created you to be? Or do you need help. Help is not far away, it is in Jesus Christ. And you can talk to him today if you just pray. The struggle is real but there is no struggle if there is no disagreement. So stop trying to be someone else or do someone else job and fulfill the Spirit given purpose that you have been given. If you are an elder woman, be an elder woman. If you are a young woman, learn from the elder godly women and become one some day. When the scripture says that if we find a virtuous woman we have found a pearl of great price, it is true. They are few and far between. Too many women want to be men and fulfill the callings that were set aside for men. This is, most of the time, because they have followed women who are doing the same thing. This is a dangerous path that will lead many to damnation and you are not to follow it. Seek out a godly path and pray that God will put you in the path of those(men and women) who will help you draw closer to him and not the world. Who knows.......that virtuous woman could be you!!! That's what God planned from the beginning, submit and receive what is for you and live the godly life that you were born to live!! Have a great day!!!
