Daily Bread 5-31-17

Hebrews 4:13-15

13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

14 Seing that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

ref. - Isa 53:3 - He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Lk 22:28 - Ye re they which have continued with me in my temptations.

2Cor 5:21 - For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1P 2:22 - Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth.

1J 3:5 - And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. How scary it is to just read verse 13 in this scripture? But how reassuring is it that it is followed up with the promise of verses 14 and 15? In verse 13 we are promised that all things that are within us will be noted and measured and judged. Nothing will be hidden and nothing will be held back in judgment. But thank God for a man names Jesus!! He is not going to do it for us but he is going to make us capable of following in his path. He is the only one who has successfully walked this earth without sin. But the world tells us that we cannot do this? It tells us that we are only human and we will fail and fall? It is time to stop listening to the world and start listening to the voice of the Spirit of God! He took on sin and won to show us that, with his Spirit in us, we can conquer sin and become victorious as well! No, not as the world see it, because they even saw many faults in him, what more will they see in us? But in God's eyes if we are found doing what he has asked us to do in obedience, we will be found on the great end of eternity! Jesus showed us how to do it, he has instructed us how to do it, and he has commanded us how to do it. Why are we not doing it? He was brought to sadness and grief, and he conquered it without sin. They tried to put him in fear, but he did not waver. He was promised many things, yet he rejected them and defeated it without sin. He was abandoned by his own people, but he continued on. He was given the opportunities to speak poorly of others and to curse them, but he opened not his mouth. He was given the power to take away our sins and forgive us with the power and might of the almighty God, as well as the power to cast us into hell, and he hasn't abused that power. This is the true savior and we are crafted after him to follow in the same pathway that he played out for us. If the word of God says that we can do it, then let us live in faith, believing that it is possible. Let us seek closer the things of God in Jesus Christ and seek diligently the baptism of His Holy Spirit in us. Let us do this, so that when all things are made manifest in us , and the books are opened, our name is on the roll!!! All things are possible in Jesus Christ, he was and is living proof of that!!! Have a great day!!!
