Daily Bread 5-26-17

2 Corinthians 11:12-15

12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

ref. - 1 Co 9:12 - If others be partakers of this power over you, are we not rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

Ph 3:19 - Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

There are many who are out there spewing out the name of Christ and not getting their message from the Holy Ghost. There are also many who are not qualified and never will be qualified that like to stand up in front of the synagogue, where they are not supposed to be as according to scripture, and receive recognition to themselves. There are many people who follow these false prophets and deceitful workers and their blood will be on the hands of those who are standing in places where they don't belong. Their messages direct and guide souls to men and not God, they preach themselves and not the Holy Spirit, using the name of Christ and God to deceive even God's very elect(saved people). They are an abomination to what God has set in order. This is why the Apostle Paul went out and was drawn away from the faithful followers and the godly ministers and toward others that either did not know the truth, or knew it and were disobedient to it. He was not only there to light the fire for Christ but he was also there to put out the fire for man. If men were to glory, they were to glory in the perfect gospel of Christ. And Paul was chosen to go out and teach these people this. Most did not accept him, but some did. And these were his prize and his blessing. Today, there are still men who have been chosen to do this work but few that will actually do it. Church and serving God has been reversed and now men are trying to lead others to themselves and using holy things to supply for their own needs. Using their power as a means to create a group of friends and a social club rather than a Church. A place to supply for their families and not for the family of God. Not necessarily caring for anyone except those who will give them something or supply their desires. Paul showed us that this is not necessary because if you give the people something clean and pure in Jesus Christ then they, once their hearts are transformed, will supply for you. Make no mistake, there are few, but there are those who have been called to this same profession. False prophets, deceitful workers, ones who are in it for their own bellies will not like them, but if they come to you, sent by the leadership of the Church, and bring you a clean gospel, instructing you on the same gospel that Paul preached, it is time to listen. All things that are not of God will pass away, and all things that are of God will remain. There is no such thing as everlasting life from man, it must only come from God through Jesus Christ. If any come to you telling you that you can get there any other way, mark them and get away from them until God will send someone to come and straiten their ways. Praise God for men who will stand up for the gospel and actually have faith enough to perform the profession that they have been called to. For it is by their works they will be judged and it is by their works that we will hear the truth and the gospel will go on until Jesus comes again!!! Have a great day!!!!
