Daily Bread 5-24-17

Hebrews 9:12-14

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

ref - Rev 1:5 - And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.

Dan 9:24 - Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Lv 8:15 - And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and pour the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.

Nu 19:2 - This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

1Jn 1:7 - But if we walk in the light, a he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanest us from all sin.

1P 3:18 - For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit.

Eph 5:2 - And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

Heb 1:3 - Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high;

Heb 6:1 - Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Oh what a savior! And thank God for Jesus! What was once a repetitive ceremony, having to be done week after week, year after year, became a one time offering! The blood of the pure one, Jesus Christ was offered as an eternal sacrifice for our sins. He has brought us a new way! A better way! A way that makes it possible to receive eternal redemption for our sins! Many still go around trying to live off of old wine in an old cloth but what we have been given is so much more pure. It is so much better! We have new wine in a new cloth that will flow from within forever!! Today there is so much confusion because many are still looking for that everlasting fountain. But let me tell you this, Brothers and Sisters, Jesus Christ is that fountain! All of the rituals and all of the traditions that had been performed were the best that people could do until that spotless lamb entered our lives! Until the Holy Son of God went to that cross shedding his own blood on an altar that we could be redeemed! There will never have to be another blood sacrifice as the new covenant puts the sacrifice and the redemption not on our sleeves but in our hearts! This is the good news of the Cross of Christ! It is something to rejoice over! Of all the times of history on this earth, we were chosen to be a part of the most important time that is written in the Bible! The time of the salvation of Christ!! So how much more than acting out or performing the rituals of a Christian is the true internal redemption of the Spirit of Christ within us? The change in where the veil has been removed and we do not have to return to the altar trying to offer something that is worthy of God's redemption or to have someone else try to offer it for us. But always having that line of communication in the Spirit to the one who died for us! His sacrifice was more than enough and we are fortunate enough to be the ones to receive the fruit that he produced with this sacrifice. When in doubt, when in trouble, when in need of help, Jesus is the one! If we want to go forward and not have to worry around every corner, we must seek for the Holy Spirit of God to lead and guide us, dwelling within is, still covered in the blood of Christ, to lead us on unto the perfection that God is looking for. Not perfection as according to men and their rituals and traditions, but according to God through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through his eternal sacrifice. Jesus Christ is the one who has made it possible, once again not according to worldly people but to Godly people, to become spotless ourselves in the blood of Christ. When you look to that cross, realize that he is no longer on it, but that is was very necessary and what happened on that cross is what made it possible for us to please God and receive eternal salvation!! Jesus Christ is the one and he always will be! Look no further, the sacrifice has been made! And if the days of old got by with the blood of goats and heifers, just imagine how much more God loves it when we get there through the blood of the lamb!!!! Have a great day!!!
