Daily Bread 5-11-17

1 Timothy 2:9-15

9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or cost array;

10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

ref. - Gen 3:15,16 - And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

We so often times speak of taking our place as men and women in this world, having constant faith that God knew what he was doing when he create us. If we truly have faith, then why are we so off track when it comes to the duties and responsibilities of men and women? When the word of God is clear, plain, and simple, why do we ignore it and follow the ways of the princes of the world? We call ourselves Godly believers and yet we are directly disobedient to this gospel and therefore prove that we do not believe. Here is the answer; Society has transformed the "Christian" instead of the Spirit of God. The antichrist directing us away from the gospel and towards earthly pleasures and worldly ways. And many have fallen for it. We have, over the last few decades, let society mold the Church into something that serves society instead of holy people following God in wisdom and in truth. How can we rescue someone who we are trying to be just like? This scripture is only one of many examples of so-called believers living in direct disregard for the direction of the Gospel. We use small parts of the word of God but omit others when they do not fit our lifestyles. In this scripture it directly tells women how to act and react in this world, it also instructs Timothy as the preacher what to let and what to not let happen in his Church. But women go around trying to do the part of men and men try to go around and do the part of women. Preachers let anyone behind the pulpits so as not to have to do the work themselves giving voice to those who are told to remain silent. Spiritually we are no different than we are to one another carnally. So-called Christians go around trying to play God and they expect God to play the part of the follower. Many times going to men for their answers and going to the law for judgment while Christ has told us where our answers and our solutions lie. We wonder why it is such a struggle to serve God? In truth, ask yourself this question; Am I serving God, accepting trials and tribulations, suffering and victory as he has laid it out? Or am I trying to make God serve me? You see, the world has clouded our minds when it comes to serving God and we have followed it. It is time to get back on track with the gospel and leave the world and it's ways behind. To worldly people this may seem extreme but it is not a fight with flesh and blood, it is spiritual. Does God want to change to suit you? No, he will not. Do we want to change the gospel to suit us? No, it will never change. So who has to be transformed? Yes, it is us that need to be transformed in our souls. Can we do it on our own? No. This is why we are instructed in all things to pray and make our desires known to God through Jesus Christ. In him and through him is the only way that we will be able to become obedient to the scriptures and prove to him that we are faithful to the order and direction that he has laid out for us to follow. If you are finding yourselves in disorder with the scriptures and the gospel and really want help, it is ever here in Jesus Christ. Pray and receive the direction and obedience that he puts in you. But you must surrender and not resist when your answers come. Today, the lesson is on the instructions for Timothy as he governs a Church about the women. Preachers, are you in agreement with what the word says today???? The problem may just start at the front. But whether it starts at the front or the back or the middle, each soul that has read this scripture today is responsible for their own selves in this matter. It is up to each of you if you will follow Christ. Have great day!!!
