Daily Bread 5-8-17
Proverbs 30:5,6
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
ref. - Ps 12:6 - The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Ps 18:30 - As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the Lord is tried: He is a buckler to all those who trust in him.
Deut 4:2 - Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Today is a beautiful day that God made for us to serve him! We need not look in any other place for our peace and our refuge than the Lord our God! There is no further information that we need to live life that is pleasing to him than is in the word of God. It is not ever going change, it has no faults, and it is the perfect, undeniable, true word of God. If we want shelter, let us put our trust in him. Protection, let us trust in him. Peace will be found in his word. By changing the word of God we will only be found liars one day as God will put someone in place that understand and can find the changes that we have made. We will not only be found liars but also punished greatly by him. Changing the word of God is not necessary nor is it beneficial to our Spiritual selves. He is perfect and so are his words. If we want to be found in perfection let us walk in parallel with his words instead of ever trying to find a loophole or way around what he teaches us. For those who try to debate the meaning of changing the word of God or the scriptures that tell us not to we have this defense and understanding. In Deuteronomy it says that we not add or take away from the commands of God. TJHis does not have to do with any verse or chapter or book. It contains in it all of the commands. If we will stop trying to find it somewhere else and just dwell in the word of God we will find that what we seek is already been written. It is true, it is the word of God, and it is for us!!!
