Daily Bread 4-4-17

Revelation 14:12,13

12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labour; and their works do follow them.

ref. - Rev 13:10 - He that leadeth in to captivity shall go into captivity: he that kilter with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Rev 12:17 - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments.

Ec 4:1.2 - So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were opressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors was power; but they had no comforter. Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are still alive.

1Th 4:16 - For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Heb 4:9 - There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

Rev 6:11 - And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Won't it be great when our work on this earth is done and the Lord gives us rest? Today we receive more confirmation that where God is going to take us there will be no more labour. There will be no more persecution or torment. There will be no more battles. Something we all have to look forward to, and definitely the promise that we need to be welcoming, but while we are here we must endure. We must continually call on God in Jesus' name to help us. We must stay faithful in Jesus Christ. The Word of God says that the devil will be mad to the point that he will make war with our seed. That being whoever is left on this rock that believes in Christ. So, in Christ, we must armour up and prepare for spiritual battle. And though we have been given such a great salvation in Jesus Christ, and many powers over the princes of darkness, we must also rely on the true power of God to keep us. In this scripture it reads that the ones that are at rest are the ones who keep the commandments of our Lord. If we look at the time we spend down here, what a better way to spend it than obedient to the commandments of God. Working on ourselves and allowing God to transform us into his Spiritual creatures rather than the worlds puppets. This will help us to be ready when our time comes. This labour that is spoken of is also defined as fulfillment of our calling. So, in turn, we must also allow God to reveal our calling to us and strive to fulfill it. I guess, the best explanatio of this scripture and the one that is going to help us the most is this; He who endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. Let us go to our knees and bow our heads in prayer today and beg for God to have mercy on us and to keep us in a place with Christ that will lead us to this rest. Our faith, our obedience, our patience, and our endurance, will be the key that unlocks the door at the end of this earthly road. Stay focused on Jesus Christ and our rest is right around the corner!! Have a nice day!!!
