Matthew 11:17
From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
ref. - Mark 1:14 - Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.
A simple message for us today. As soon as Jesus was announced and that John was finished with his work, He began preaching repentance and remission of sins. This message still holds true today as we must repent and be forgiven before our lives in Christ can start anew. We must not just gain knowledge of what sin is, but be remorseful to the point that we want it taken out of us. We have to have a desire to get rid of the things that have ruled us all of our lives and be willing to start a new life. A life where things look different and finally appear as they are. We will be shown what and who is here to help us and, also, what and who is here to harm us. We also must be willing to believe it. We will be given understanding on how Christ walked and how God wants us to walk as well. We will be given the power to pray and have our prayers be heard. But it must first start at the beginning just as Christ instructs. If we want to find these things, feel this love, and live this life that leads well on after this world has passed, we must begin at repentance. Too many places and too many so called religions and Churches are not getting their start based on this foundation and this is why there is no internal change. Everything is temporary and the old keeps returning to overcome the new. It is because repentance has not been preached and it sure hasn't been practiced. How can you practice what you do not know? But it is our time to come out of the darkness and live as children of the light! It is time for we, as called children of God, to enter in the right gate through repentance and then share our testimonies, backed by the scriptures, with others. Let us start at the beginning instead of trying to jump in at the middle, and let us teach our children the same thing. Repent, the time is now!! Repent! for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!!!! Have a great day!!!
