John 7:25-29

25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?

26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing to him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?

27 Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.

28 Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.

29 But I know him: for I am from him, and he that sent me.

ref. - Jn 8:14 - Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come and whither I go.

Jn 5:43 - I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him will ye receive.

Jn 5:32 - There is another that beareth witness of me; and I know that the witness which he witnesseth of me is true.

Jn 1:18 - No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

These men had not experienced words with such power. The had never witnessed someone that had the Spiritual gifts and might that Christ had. They were astonished that the rulers may even be considering that Jesus was the Christ because they were looking at where he came from. In this they missed out on the greatest opportunity that the world has ever known. To walk and be instructed by Christ himself. No matter how he reasoned with some of them, they still looked at who he was, the carpenters son, and where he came from, Nazareth. They were blinded to the works and faith that Christ had. Never putting the attention or the honor upon himself, but everything to God. Today, we must know that this is the Christ that we read of and we must also believe in the comforter that he sent us. We must not doubt but follow him as cherished disciples, learning of him, becoming obedient to his commandments, and worshipping him as he is, the Son of the living God! Nowhere in the word of God, or anywhere else for that matter, does God claim anyone else to be his Son. There were many wonderful prophets before him but never in the clouds did a voice come out and say, This is my Son, in whom I am well pleased, Hear ye him. Today, we will grab onto anything that the world brings us pertaining to God except the Holy Ghost. We have been misguided into the thoughts that the Holy Ghost is a screaming, kicking, out of control, Spirit that produces magic for others to see. No, it is time to know the Spirit of God as it is. The Holy Ghost is all knowing and all powerful as it is the Spriit of God in Christ Jesus on this earth. It is humility, it is understanding, it is knowledge, it is power, it is worship, it is prophecy,it is healing..... Although there are signs and wonders, sometimes miracles, produced with the power of the Holy Spirit, the important part is that we receive understanding of God's will and his direction in our lives. A direction that will not lead us into temptation and sin, imperfection and failure, but it will lead us into holiness and righteousness, perfection and success! The only way to receive this guidance and this Spirit is to stop doubting Christ and what he brings us and fully commit ourselves to pleasing him. Not one man knows the mind of God and the untainted will of God but Christ, as he was there, he came here, and he is back there now. So the only way that we will get this knowledge is by having His Spirit take over our hearts, minds, and souls, and dwelling within us. So let us leave behind this constant failure and repentance and believe what he brought us; I can do all things through Christ who strenghteneth me!! Time to make a stand and hold fast to what we have been given. The greatest gift the world has ever known and will ever know is Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever!!!! Have a great day!!!!
