Luke 11:21-23
21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace:
22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils.
23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
ref. - Matt 12:29 - Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
Mark 3:27 - No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Matt 12:30 - He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth with me scattereth abroad.
What the world faces today is that we want to serve two masters. We want to serve the world when convenient or we feel necessary and then we want to serve God when it is convenient and we have a need. This is why we are in the terrible Spiritual shape that we are in today. We cannot convince ourselves to serve one or another. We are neither cold nor hot, but we are lukewarm. Just as the word of God says, if we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness the rest will follow but instead we go outside the bounds of the gospel and serve the world. This shows the enemy that there is a chance for him to take back what he once had, our souls. When we become Spiritually weak we cannot stand when we are attacked, we are overcome and lose what little we had. What we must realize is that if we are not dependent on and devoted to what God brings us in Jesus Christ then we are not obedient and, in turn, the word of God says, we are against him. He is not going to protect someone who is against him. If we cannot rely on the information given to us in the Gospel then we truly only believe it in part and will have what we had stripped from us by the enemy. If we are strong he will not prevail as we will be armed with the full armor of God, but if there is a chink or hole in that armor, the enemy will find it and take us captive. He will remove the rest of our armor and ruin us. So, how do we avoid this? By getting on our knees and begging God to strengthen us daily. If we are armed by God then the world and the enemy can not overcome us. If we find ourselves on the fence or lacking in any way, the full armor of God, then we need to get on our knees and worship God, making ourselves available for whatever he has for us, and become strong through repentance and remission of sins, then baptism, then the Holy Ghost then gifts of the Spirit. It will then be the time that peace will enter into our house(souls) and we will be able to live strong for the Lord, finding his favor and eventually completing our mission on this earth!! It's eternal life brothers and sisters!! Let's go and get it!!!! Have a great day!!!
