Daily Bread 12-10-16

1 Timothy 2:11-15

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

ref. - Gen 3:15,16 - And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise thy heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Today we approach a touchy subject. That is, touchy if a man is not willing to declare the word of God and the woman is not willing to be obedient to it. This teaching and writing goes against just about everything that is going on on the world today. This is the problem with the Church and this is why we don't see good, Holy Ghost preachers anymore, marriages that last, and Christians who are not luke warm but hot. We need to take this in many contexts though as it is explained. It is the woman to the man, the Church to the Minister, and every one who has claimed salvation to God through Christ. Like the word of God says, if we cannot be obedient in carnal things why do we think that he will trust us with the Spiritual things?(Lk 16:10,11) Believe this today, the woman was made for the man. The woman, the Church, and the Christian, are to learn in silence with all subjection. This means not only to be obedient to what is taught but also to believe what is being taught. Not debating, backbiting, and pulling against the one who is the man but in subjection to him. It is not the job of the woman to correct or teach or to Lord over the man, but to be in silence. This is written for the woman to the man, the Church to the Minister, and the Christian to God. First was the man, and the woman was made for the man(Gen 2:22, 1Cor. 11:8,9) First was the Minister, then the congregation was given to Him by God.(Eph. 4:12). First was God, then the Christian, made for his pleasure.(Coll 1:16, Rev. 4:11). If God says it are we not to be obedient to it? If the Minister says it are we not to be obedient to him as a Church? If the man says it is the woman not to be obedient to him? This is what the scripture says and It also says that he did not put Jesus in our paths so that we could live in peace and harmony with one another. God put Christ here so that we could learn that God comes first and that there is an order to His will that is not to be changed or manipulated to the ways of the world. Not making each other more important than him but him more important than all. He put him here to show us that over all other things and over all other people that God was first. We must all realize that we are here for his pleasure and that there is a purpose for him making us the way he made us. Men are made to stand up and lead, having authority and dominion over the woman. This is a carnal example of how God is over us, and the Minister should be to the congregation. Women are made to learn in subjection and be obedient to the man. Not backbiting or double tongued, but in silence and subjection. This is the example of how we must be to God, also the congregation to the Minister. The word of God says that our own house must be in order to be worthy to receive the kingdom of God. But if we look into the ones who backbite the minister and try to undermine what he is teaching(if it is the word of God, divided rightly), they are usually the ones who hang on their wives apron strings and are not leading their families but the woman is leading them. If you look at the Ministers who always have great dissension and never seem to prosper Spiritually, the ones who are usually backbiting the ones who have the rule over them, it is usually the ones who have allowed their people to run them and they hang on their purse strings afraid they will be cut off financially from them or that they will hurt their feelings and lose them. If you look at the ones who are always at the altar trying to re-receive what they once had it was not because they learned from Christ in subjection and were silent. It is because they doubted, spoke against, or acted against what God was trying to do in them. So through this explanation it should be clear that this scripture has a lot deeper meaning than what disobedient worldly people will try to make it. It is not unfair, it is not chauvenistic, it is not demeaning or degrading to women. It is the way things were created to be and also the way that things will work if we ever want to live up to our God-given potential and make heaven our home. So we must believe it, receive it, and let God work in us and through us to become obedient in a way that we will someday receive eternal life!! Have a great day!!!
