Daily Bread 12-9-16

1 Thessalonians 1:6-10

6 And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

7 So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

8 For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not speak anything.

9 For they themselves show us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;

10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

ref. - Ro 10:18 - But I say, Have they not heard? Yes, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Ph 3:20 - For our conversation is in heaven; from whence we also look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Heb 9:28 - So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Acts 1:11 - Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

1 Thes 5:9 - For God hath not appointed guys to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Join together, followers of the Lord and let your lives shine and your tesimonies be heard!! Not only by mouth but by example! Become the same example that the Thessalonians became by not only learning the word of God but by following what they were taught! It is in this that you will be marked as an example and revered by the Church and God for your diligence and faith! Sound your testimony of God's mercy to all who will listen!! Not only in your comfortable place around people that you know, but in every place so much that the gospel will be new to very few! Where you came from is important as there are many who are still there. But how God pulled you out and gave you hope and direction, now that's what needs sharing. Let them know that since Christ died for our sins there is no more carnal sacrifice and that if we follow the leadership that God has put in front of us and the road map that Christ laid out for us, we will see him when he comes again! It is not just to stand and look for him to come, it is to dwell among all people with the same hope that we have been given by God to live a clean and holy life knowing that we will see him as he is one day!! We are not to go about casting judgment on others but to warn them and show them how to escape the judgment to come. (There is a huge difference between judgement and rebuke or exhortation) Today little worms wriggle around saying don't judge me every time they are corrected. We do not hold the power yet to judge but we hold the power to proclaim the gospel and live it. By doing this we are examples to all of good, clean, holy, followers of Christ. Make no mistakes, there will have to be a boldness, a confidence, and a devotion that only God can put in you but it is possible and it is God's will that you become this example on earth!! The Thessalonians are not here anymore, but you are!!! Get out there and become a living testimony that shows the world what God can do!!!! Have a great day!!!
