Daily Bread 11-17-16

Hebrews 9:6-9

6 Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

7 But unto the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

8 The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washing, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

ref. - Nu 28:3 - And thou shalt say unto them, This is the offering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the Lord; two lambs of the first year without spot day by day, for a continual burnt offering.

Ex 30:10 - And Aaron shall make an atonement upon the horns of it once in a year with the blood of the sin offering of atonements: once in the year shall he make atonement upon it through your generations: it is most holy in the Lord.

Heb 10:19 - Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

Jn 14:6 - Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

Gal 3:21 - Is the law then against the promises of God then? God forbid: for if there had been law given which could have bringeth life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

Ro 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

Lev 11:25 - And whosoever beareth ought of the carcase of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.(divers washings)

Nu 19:7 - Then the priest shall wash his clothed, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp, and the priest shall be unclean until the even. (divers washings)

Eph 2:15 - Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;

Heb 10:1 - For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

Heb 8:2 - A minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

This lesson is very filled with scripture and references for the very reason that it has been written down today. People are confused in what to believe in and which way to follow God. The truth be told, there is only one way to follow God, and for the last two thousand years that has been through Jesus Christ. He offered us something that was only a vision to them that dwelt before Christ on this earth. But there is so much supporting scripture to this lesson to prove to us that there is only one way, Jesus Christ. Before him there were only acts and rituals, not cleaning men but making up for their wrongdoings. In Christ we have a way to live with a clean conscience. There was one sacrifice made for us with the purest, the best, and the unreplaceable blood of Christ. It is possible in Christ Jesus to be righteous!! There will never have to be another sacrifice as this covered future generations until eternity! All of these ordinances and rules and sacrifices that were required of the people and the priests before Christ were made null by the blood of Christ. The shadow of good things to come that they prophesied about has come to us. Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life. This lesson will not get long as the references support the scripture in such a way that a long explanation is not necessary. We have the perfect explanation, and it is written forever for us to read. Have a great day!!!
