23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;(for he is faithful that promised;)
ref. - 1 Cor 1:9 - God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
Today let us look at what we have professed before others. Have we told them that we believe? Then we must believe. We have taken on something that is so much bigger than the world and we need to cling to it. We need to stay focused on what we believe in and, most importantly, know what and whom we are to believe in. Do we believe in Christ? Let us stay focused on Him. Not wavering but ever pursuing his ways and his commandments. In this scripture the Apostle Paul was explaining to the Hebrews a new way. A way that made it possible to serve God without sacrifice and not always digging up the mistakes of the past. He was showing them that if they had faith they could be forgiven of their sins and his laws would be put into their hearts and into their minds. Today this promise still holds true and even though many of the Hebrews did not and would not find the faith that they thought they had, we are afforded a great opportunity. We are told to not let our faith waver and to help one another, provoking one another to good works. Coming together to try to increase our faith and increase in knowledge of the one whom we believe, Jesus Christ. We were not called to bring sacrifice unto the priest, we were called to be taken in to a family where we are called brethren and friend by the one who died for us. He will not fail us nor will he make it impossible for us to find our way. He is the way and he will show us that way through nothing but the truth. If we accept that truth and have faith, not wavering, we will see the light! We have been called from outside the gate, fed crumbs from the table, and eventually invited to sit at the table of our Lord, let us continue in it. Pray for faith, pray for others, and most of all.........pray!!! Have a great day!!!
