Daily Bread 10-5-16

1 Timothy 1:3

3 As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

ref - Acts 20:1,3 - 1 And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.

3 And there abode three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.

Galatians 1:6,7 - 6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

Once again, the simplicity that was in the Gospel of Christ was just too much(or too little) for some to handle. We see this today in many places where a simple doctrine based on the teachings and commandments of Christ have been added to or meddled with to suit the ideas or beliefs of those who do not believe in the Gospel of Christ, which is the full gospel. There is no other explanation to it but the fact that they just do not believe in the way that the Bible teaches other than the parts that suit them. We have a choice today that will be supported or completely destroyed every time we have sound teaching from this doctrine, the Bible doctrine. We can hold to this as the only doctrine that will work for us, as it was tailor made for the human race after Christ walked the Earth. Or, we can debate it, alter it, go back to the law of Moses, or completely ignore it, in which every time that sound Biblical doctrine is preached we will be convicted. This is why Paul left Timothy in Ephesus, and this is why there are disciples on this earth today that will remind us, no, charge us, that we will not benefit from any other doctrine than that which was taught by Christ and the Apostles that followed. Timothy was left there also to tell the ministers not to teach any other doctrine as it would only cause confusion and strife. If only some of the ministers of today would just stay in this Gospel and cling to this doctrine what an unlimited movement we would have for Christ! It is strongly urged to go into the bylaws or beliefs of your Church and see if it is a follower of sound doctrine that was first taught by Christ and then the Apostles or if it is a partial or made up doctrine. If you do not see that your Church is following sound Biblical doctrine or what is on the by laws or waybill or list of beliefs(should be the bible) then it is time for you to start looking for another place to find the Spiritual help that you need. It is time for each and every soul to grow to flourish in a clean, sound way that leads to a Spiritual enlightenment that only the Spirit of God can give. It is also time that teachers of foul doctrine and gainsayers be identified and left to wallow in their own mud. This Gospel was not given nor were many lives given to support this Gospel, starting with Jesus Christ himself for ignorant men to pervert what God has given us. Our Church has Revivals throughout the year at different locations and a September meeting in Newton Kansas for 21 days in September where the sound doctrine of The Church Of God Of The Firstborn is taught in and amongst the people so that they, too, will know exactly what our Church stands for. The instructional services for the ministers are held in front of the congregation so that not only do the ministers grow but the people know exactly what the Church stands for. This also holds the ministers accountable as the people know what is supported by the Church and the Bible and what is not. Unity begins with leadership and, God willing, leadership in one mind and one accord. So, let us, fresh out of September, go forth and become what the Macedonians became(faithful and prosperous in unity) by clinging to the same teachings and Biblical doctrine that will drive us forward and closer to God in Jesus Christ!!!
