Deuteronomy 15:4-6

4 Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the Lord shall greatly bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it:

5 Only if thou carefully hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God , to observe and do all these commandments which I command thee this day.

6 For the Lord thy God blest thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

ref - Deut. 28:8 - The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Oh what a great promise that God gives us for obedience! Just as in the days of Deuteronomy, we can also claim these great and holy blessings today. Our inheritance is not the same as in that day and some of the commandments have been superseded(replaced) in the teachings of Jesus Christ but the rewards remain the same. In the days of Deuteronomy they were promised lands and houses and carnal blessing but today ours is not a carnal possession but a spiritual blessing, the Holy Ghost. If we look at these verses we realize that we no longer deal directly with God and that the Lord that has been put over us is Jesus Christ. So, if we remain obedient to his commandments that he has given us we will be greatly blessed. Not only ourselves but it says that all we set our hands to will be blessed as well. Verse six is very important though as we journey towards and in our calling. God has created us to give this gospel to people of many beliefs, many backgrounds, and many lifestyles. Not taking anything back from them spiritually but giving them the pure gift that God has put in us. We are put under the authority of men by God but when bringing this gospel to many nations, for us to be blessed and for them to receive the truth we must become the teacher and not the student. This is when the Holy Ghost is in us. We will still be able to be taught, but only in the land which God has given us. Our Church. This is if we want to prosper and be blessed. If we remain in God's will through obedience to the commandments brought to us and confirmed in Jesus Christ we will be able to help so many others to come to a real salvation that will bring them to eternal life. Many are called but few are chosen and God has given each one of us the opportunity to be chosen. Only question is.......will we take it? May of us have taken it and God has blessed us beyond measure! What would destroy and has destroyed others we have made it through in Jesus' Holy name! And now it is not time for the prophets of old, not even the Apostles of the New Testament. They have already left us. No, today is our time to become obedient and let God show the world even greater things than they have already seen or read about in Jesus Christ!! It's such a rewarding feeling to know that God has seen fit to reach down and reward us for the very little we do. Just letting him be alive in us and lead and guide us is all he wants. Let us worship him and praise him with our hearts and mouths, but more importantly let us become obedient to his commandments and his will and we will truly be blessed in ways that the world cannot provide!!! God is goooooodddddd and thank you Jesus!!! Have a great day!!!
