Matthew 6:15

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

ref. - Matt 18:35 - So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Today we speak on forgiveness. Not on receiving forgiveness, but on giving forgiveness. One of the hardest things in a human being's mind to do is to forgive. We are shown from birth by the world to carry our bitterness and ride it out. We are taught to hold grudges and not to forgive. But then this man came to the earth and changed everything. His name was and is Jesus. He told his disciples(followers) that they must forgive their brothers when they have caused an offense. Not only to ease their conscience but also so that they may please God. The things that please God are not earthly things but spiritual things. Doing things that go against the grain of the world is a beautiful sign to God that we trust Christ who has been put before us. And this particular scripture is from the Sermon on the Mount. A message containing a majority of the information we need to make it through this world today in a way that is pleasing to God. It is highly encouraged to everyone to read this from start to finish, reading references, and paying close attention. But, most of all, praying for understanding in our souls. It is contained in the chapters 5-7 of Matthew. Now we must understand the importance of this verse. There is no option and there is no other way. It states clearly that we must forgive our brother's their trespasses. Saying "I forgive you", we know is not enough. The forgiveness has to come from a place where God operates. In our souls. We must find a way to do this and that way is through Jesus Christ. So, let us all pray today that God will put a forgiving Spirit in our hearts so that we can move forward and explore the great and mighty things that God has put before us!! Have a great day!!!
