Collosians 4:6-9
6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how to answer every man.
7 All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord:
8 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate and comfort your hearts;
9 With Onesimus, a faithful and believed brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.
ref. - Mark 9:50 - Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith shall ye season it? Have salt in yourselves and have peace with one another.
1P 3:15 - But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Philemon 10 - I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds.
Today, believers, we must come together in the same mind. Just as it was taught and declared two thousand years ago, we must become accountable for our claims and become responsible for the Holy calling of God. How do we get started on this? Well, first we know that we must be born again. Repentance is necessary and a new life begins. But next, we must put our trust in the teachings of a Holy Ghost led Minister. We must find one that is in good standing in the Church which we will attend and believe what he is teaching. You see, these men are not put in as Ministers to be led about and watched over, they are supposed to be led by the Holy Ghost and earned in the ways and beliefs of the Church. Paul did not send unto the people men who just claimed to be preachers. No, he sent those who spent time with him learning and understanding the Gospel. They were men who taught the same things as Paul and were in parallel to the Gospel and the Word of God. Now , in the first part of this lesson it says to have our speech with grace, seasoned with salt. How do we do this. It all starts with believing what we are being taught. If what we are receiving is of God it will end us up kneeling at the feet of Jesus for our every need. When we go away from Jesus our answers and our speech will become confused and cloudy. The world is getting worse and worse and there are still very few Fathers in Christ that walk in it. We need to draw together, in the Holy Ghost, and be ready, instant in or out of season to declare the grace and mercies of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! So, today, go to those who are ordained and in good standing with the Church, ones who attend special meetings and follow after the ways of the Gospel. They will show you the way that has been taught, first at Jerusalem and then continued by the Apostles and Prophets. Where is your hope? What is your story? Tell us your Testimony? Is it there or do you need to think about it? Have faith, brothers and sisters, the closer you draw to Him the more instant you will be and the more salty(interesting and helpful) your words will become. Have a great day!!!!
