Daily Bread 11-22-18

2 Corinthians 7:16

I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things.

ref. - Phm 8,21 - Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin ye that which is convenient. Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

How great it is to be led by men who not only abide in the Spirit but also have confidence that God will help us in our quest for obedience and eventually eternal life? Just as the Apostle Paul was confident in the Corinthians so is the leadership of the Church confident in us. Not so confident in the flesh, but confident in the Spirit that leads us and guides us. If it were up to us on our own, we would all fail at our attempt at Spirituality. But in the Spirit we are all capable of all things pertaining to godliness in Jesus Christ. This is reason for rejoicing. Not at our own capabilities, but our capabilities when God its leading us. This also makes it possible for leaders to be confident in us as well. As their testimony of us gets more and more positive and filled with God's mercy, it becomes a pleasure to have us as art of the family and the strength that God has put in us becomes more evident. Nothing hidden but honesty and sincerity to God is what gets us to this point and that is what is taught throughout the gospel. Today, we must strive to become these people that the Church has confidence in, one that is prayed many blessings over and the God blesses daily. This is what Jesus Christ has to offer us, now we just need to go and get it!!! Have a great day!!!
