Daily Bread 10-16-18

1 Corinthians 11:7-11

7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

8 For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man.

9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

ref. - Gen 1:26 - And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeped upon the earth.

Gen 2:21 - And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took up one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Gen 24:65 - For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a veil, and covered herself.

Ec 5:6 - Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

Gal 3:28 - There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

As we have been shown in the scripture there is order in humanity as well as in our spiritual lives. There is order in the way that God created man and woman and there is also order in the way that he created the Church to follow his son, Jesus Christ. Just as the word of God tells us the man is to the woman and the woman is to the man, so should the Church be to Jesus Christ. The Church was not created first, Jesus Christ was. He was in the beginning and given power over all things. Many times the Church tries to stand out or tries to take the attention and it was not created for this just as the world has taught the woman to stand out rather than to be a support for the man. The Church, and us as followers and the body of Christ, were created to remain covered and the honor and glory and praise all going to the Man, the Husband, Jesus Christ, just as was the purpose of the woman to the man on this earth. The reason that God created man and woman the way he did was not only to satisfy the needs of the man in that he should not be alone and to give purpose to the woman, but also to shape out a blueprint in how the Church should be towards Christ. And just as the outline and purpose of man and woman is established in the Holy Word, so is the place of the Church behind Christ. The reason that Churches do not function properly is the same reason that men and women do not function as they were made to function today. Ignorance and disobedience to God's word and God's will are the reasons that we are in the shape we are in today. As men and women, and also as a Church. So now, let us read the scriptures offered today and replace the man with Christ and the woman with the Christians. Does it make sense now? So, as we can clearly see, this is more than just a direction for us to go as man and woman. We mustn't disregard either one, the way the man is to the woman and the woman is to the man, and the way that Christ is to the Church and the Church to Christ. If we could just be satisfied with what and who God made us and not get overzealous or let the ways of the world interrupt our direction, in our lives and in the Church, we would be that much closer to the promise of eternal life. So, let us pray together for God to infuse us with his Spirit so that we may understand the true purpose of our being, the Churches being, and let us continue on past the basics and unto perfection Jesus Christ!! Remember, in Jesus Christ there is not male nor female, Jew nor Greek, bond nor free!! If we all follow him in the way that we are shown in the word of God, we will all see the same reward. If you are a man, be a man as you are shown in the Bible. If you are a woman, be a woman. If you re a husband, be a husband. If you re a wife, be a wife. If you are in the Church, be in the Church, obedient to the scripture, not personal interpretation, but through understanding in the Holy Ghost. And, for heavens' sake, be satisfied with what God has made you and who he has made you.........he didn't make a mistake. He is perfect and in Jesus Christ so can we be made the same!!
