The Sermon on the mount(cont'd)

Matthew 6:33

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

ref. - Ps 37:25 - I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Lk 12:31 - But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We want to be seen as Christians but we have our priorities on the things of this world. If we could just refocus ourselves on the Spiritual things of God we would see that all of our needs, and even many of our wants, are supplied through the transformation we are given in Jesus Christ. If we are looking for things just to pop out of the sky and land in our laps we may be surprised. It may happen this way and it may not. But whatever God's will is, if we are found seeking out for things that he has to offer and not the things of the world, he will show us the way and supply for all of our needs. First spiritual, then carnal. If we want to live a carnal salvation based upon our acts and our own righteousness we will fail as we have only learned what the world sees as right. If we enter into the kingdom of God with a genuine hunger and thirst for true righteousness, God's righteousness, he will see our dedication, hear our prayers, and deliver our answers. Too often we confuse the answers from worldly thinking with Spiritual answers and this is why we must seek for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit in our souls. We must be able to discern the Spirits if they are of God and determine the direction of our paths. But rather than go about struggling with the cares of this world, seek the kingdom of God. In this kingdom we will find peace, comfort, love, devotion, and all the things that will make our inner being the way God made it to be. The word of God doesn't suggest that part of our needs will be fulfilled if we follow after him, it promises that all of our needs will be taken care of. That, Brothers and Sisters, is an offer that we cannot refuse!!! Have a great day!!!
