Daily Bread 12-18-17

Luke 18:15-17

15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.

16 But Jesus called them unto him and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for such is the kingdom of God.

17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein.

ref. - Mt 19:13 - Then there were brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

Prov 8:17 - I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

Jesus has a love that is unconditional and does not limit itself to just one type of people or one age group or even one race. Financial status has no meaning to him. May times we think that we need to hold people that are infants in understanding back from exploring what Christ has to offer. We discourage them by telling them that they are not ready or that they don't know enough to go to the Lord. There is one question that we must ask ourselves; Where would each of us be if we had been restricted from seeking God because "we were too young or we didn't know enough"? Some of us would still be lost. Some of us didn't even know as much as an infant as we did not know how to even feed off the sincere milk of the Word. Even infants can feed from their mothers. We didn't know how to pray, we didn't know what to pray for, but we knew we needed help. So, again we must ask ourselves, who are we to limit the development of this gospel to people who "don't know enough?" Who are we to rebuke those who choose to serve the Lord from seeking him? If we read this scripture even the disciples began to try to keep some away from going to Jesus but in turn, they were rebuked by him. You see, this gospel has not been given to us to pick and choose who ends up at our altars or who is "ready" to serve God. The change that he made in us is the same change that he will make in all who he draws to Christ. When we think we know much it is when we know nothing. When we think that we have certain authorities over the way that God operates it is when we will end up on the receiving end of rebuke. We do not know what is best for God, he knows what is best for us. In this scripture it was the children, but in essence it is anyone who has not been exposed to this wonderful gospel and does not even know the first thing about serving God. It could be the banker or the thief, the doctor or the desolate, the teacher or the student. Black, White, brown yellow, rich, poor, heathy, sick, people of all languages,etc.... No man can determine when we are ready for God to take over our lives or when he has called us towards him. No man can tell us whether we are saved or not. No man can tell us whether we have the Holy Ghost or not. It will be by our fruit and our testimony that we are known. And we must not be discouraged from seeking him. If someone goes to seek him at another altar, let them go.(1Cor 7:15) If they do not believe in the pure gospel that is being taught let them go. If they return they were of us, if they do not, they never were. But when someone comes that does not meet our expectations(which are all false traditions and heresies) we mustn't hinder their attempt to find Jesus at our altars. Don't forget, sometimes we may be entertaining angels unaware.(Heb 13:2) We, as Christians, are not to leave the bounds of our habitation to seek for God, but we are to accept those who he has supplied for us to help within those bounds. The Church Of God Of The Firstborn is a sacred and holy place and we are very privileged to have had the opportunity to serve God in this place. One day we were not refused at these altars and we found the direction and the savior that we needed to lead us to God. Let us open this pathway for all mankind to enter in. As God's will, we will soon see that there are not only hundreds, but thousands and millions that will serve God under this mighty doctrine. This doctrine being the Bible doctrine and the gospel of Jesus Christ! Open the doors, go to the hedges and the highways, that his house may be filled. Let the Revival begin!!!! Have a great day!!!!
