Daily Bread 11-23-17

2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

1 Now we beseech you brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering unto him,

(ref. - Matt 24:31 - And he shall send his angels with the great sound of a trumpet,

and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.)

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubles, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling way first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

(ref. - 2P 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Dan 7:25 - And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.)

4 Who opposite and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

(ref. - Rev 13:6 - And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.)

Even though many of these signs are here and many are sitting in seats in which they have not been called, there is still time for us to look at ourselves and become prepared. In the scriptures and in many teachings and preachings we are warned and warned of the end that is to come. Sometimes even to the point in which we may think that it is too late and that we might just give up. But this lesson is here to tell us, brothers and sisters, no matter how hard the preaching gets and how close we are to the end through the preaching and declaring of evidence, there is now still time to get on the right track with God. There are many who have allowed men to exalt them and are still allowing men to worship them as if they are Gods but we are guaranteed that they will meet a swift end. So, we ask, why are those that oppose the Church, the gospel, and Jesus Christ not taken out of the way yet? Why are they not replaced or why do they not perish? Here is the answer; For the same reason that we have not been taken out of the way or replaced or caused to perish. This world is not even close to what this whole thing is about. This is about where we will spend our lives after this world. This is about the second coming of Christ. And at the sound of the trumpet all judgment will be made. Yes, these antichrists roam the earth and even inhabit some of the chief seats in the Church but we have been given so much more. When it all goes down there will be no more earth and the antichrists that think they have the called people of God pinned down and think they are in control will perish with it. All this while we are taken up in the clouds and given our heavenly reward! The world is all that they have so they are reaping their rewards through the acknowledgement of men rather than purifying themselves in Christ. They think that the bigger act that they put on and the more worldly poeple that they have supporting them will make them victorious as they torment and cause suffering to God's elect. And we do have to put up with it because the world is theirs but God is ours. As we draw closer to God the actions and presence of these antichrists(they don't like to be called devils, se we will appease them and call them antichrists) will mean less and less to us. We are looking for a home that is not a building or a country but a home that has been created new in the heavens for us. As all the old will pass away so will even our memories of this evil cruel world pass away with them. And we will either be taken up or caused to suffer. This is why this scripture is here to help us today. It is here to tell us to not be afraid of the evil in the world or of what surrounds us as the world falls apart. This world is not our home. What we must rather do is to put this world and it's trouble makers and antichrists behind us. As they grow in power let us know that our time is not up yet and that we must not get discouraged in seeking for more of Christ. As we draw closer to God , he will supply us with more soldiers of like mind. We also don't need to look for these antichrists as their own actions and who they cling to will identify them on its own. When we see this evil we must mark it and avoid it as it is a sign of the end, but the end is not yet here. We have someone else to impress and someone else to live for. The kingdom of God is a place of peace and love and honor. The earth is war and destruction and sin. The signs are among us and the time is coming, but do not fear, children of God. As long as the sun has risen yet another day, we have one more day to prepare for our final destination! Let us join forces with the powers of God and leave behind the darkness that will and is consuming the world. There is still time!! Have a great day!!!
