Daily Bread 10-21-17

Mark 8:22-26

22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.

24 And he looked up and said, I see men as trees, walking.

25 After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

26 And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town.

All things are possible in Jesus Christ. Even our spiritual understanding is enhanced each time we receive a touch of the hand of Christ. We were once blind and he saved us. We saw things very hazy. We then were baptized and had our sins washed away, the vision became more clear. We then learned of Him and put his teachings in to practice and our vision became more clear as our lives were sanctified. It was then that our vision became even more clear than it had ever been before, we were baptized in the Spirit of the Holy Ghost. Then, as if it wasn't clear enough, he touched us again and showed us our calling and our purpose and his purpose in us became even more clear. Then, as by his teachings and his promise, we were given gifts to enhance these callings and things to help us along the way. The vision was becoming more and more clear as it was no longer a struggle or a search to find our direction, it became easier as our will had become his will. Only when we kicked against or tried to pull back did our vision blur and once we turned back towards him, the vision cleared. If this has not occurred yet in many of our lives it is not time to turn a different way, it is time to press even more into the will of God in Jesus Christ. After all, when he said "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all theses things shall be added unto you", he wasn't speaking to his enemy, he was speaking to us.

We once were in darkness, now we are in light.

It now is the day, where once was the night.

We once were blind, but each day we see

In Jesus our savior, our vision is free!

Have a great day!!!
