Daily Bread 3-2-17
Luke 24:7-9
7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
8 And they remembered his words.
And returned from the sepulcher, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.
ref. - Mt 28:8 - And they departed quickly from the sepulcher with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
Mk 16:10 - And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
What a friend we have in Jesus! He shows us how that even thought the world and it's princes try to break us, doing things that would make others perish or be degraded into the earth, we can overcome their evil vices and come out even stronger than before. He doesn't suggest it, he promises it. He shows us that we will be attacked by the devil's pawns, and that many of them will come from our own household. He also tells us that the enemy is using them to try to destroy us, to kill off our Spiritual life. But just when they think that they have us down. Just when they start to celebrate and think we are done in, God will raise us up even stronger than ever before! He will show the children of the enemy and, in turn the enemy himself, that we are not susceptible to their attacks or vulnerable to their evil worldly passions. We will rise again in Jesus name and the whole world will know it!! So, if you are going through something in your life and you think that the sun is beginning to darken, have faith and hope. The same resurrection that was done in Jesus Christ will be done in you if you just hold on and stand firm in the Church and in the ways of Christ. When he delivers us we will be so in awe and so excited that we will not be able to keep our testimony from others nor will there be any way that they can deny it!! First other followers will hear so that they, too, can find the strength to fight off the attacks of the enemy, and then hope will be given to the rest of the world in that they do not have to stay beaten down where they are, but can be risen through faith in Jesus Christ!! So , don't think that you are in the valley for too long, in due time, Christ will rise you up and you will be used as a beacon in the night to find your way and guide others in the footsteps of the one and only, the supreme example, the Son of God, Jesus Christ!! He defeated it and so shall you!!! Have a great day!!!
