Daily Bread 11-21-16

Mark 15:16-20

16 And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they called together the whole band.

17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,

18 And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

19 And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit on him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

29 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

This morning will be short and sweet. Just read and re-read this scripture. Remember the extent of love that Christ has for us as you read it and picture in your mind what he went through. When things try to stop you this week or mountains seem immovable think of what he went through so that you and I could serve God. Think of how the right hand of God went through many things and still endured right up to the end. Remember, when you get ready to give up because someone has hurt your feelings, the things that someone as important as the son of God went through just to show us the way. Today, when you feel yourself starting to slow down or come to a stop, just remember, get up, dust yourself off, and keep on praising God. He was beaten, he was mocked, he was spit on, and eventually murdered for you and I. So, all in all, just remember Christ in everything you do and everything you face day to day. Soon and very soon, we are going to meet the king!!! Have a great day!!!
